The day finally came. I was finally ready for her to be in a big girl bed. We had the bedding already bought, the room had been painted to match the bedding, so we finally went and bought a white bunk bed that the girls will one day share. Kevin thought of the great idea to just assemble the top bunk as her bed because it had a rail already on it. So, we set it up without her knowing one morning, and showed her as a surprise! She loved it then and loves it now. We've had it for over a month now and when she wakes up, she yells from her bed, "Mommy, I'm awake!" She doesn't get out of it. She waits for me to come and get her.
What a cute little girly room! I love that last picture with her feet in the air. Too cute!
Our big boy bunk beds come tomorrow! We might actually let Caden sleep on the top and move Jacob out of his crib, now that he climbs out all the time anyway... and then we'd be a crib-free home. That just made me sad a little bit.

Isn't it great to use a bed with built in slats? We love ours.
